Do you prefer...

2D Example(Pokémon Ruby)

Or 3D Example(Grand Theft Auto San Andreas(Because Reasons...)

... games and why? 83

Personally I prefer 3D, I also love 2D(Pretteh Pixels) but I love the freedom of 3D environments. <3

Usually, I find 3D games to be a little more fun. However, one 2D game called "ShadowKeep", was really fun as well (I miss that game. Sad ).

As much as I love 3D games of the 90's including the GTA Series, and N64 games like the the beautiful Rayman 2: Great Escape, and StarFox 64... My favorite games were the 2D ones because they seemed more focus on the mechanics and originality instead of graphics --- like most Impressive Title servers that focus on making new items and prey models instead of working for an actual plot and maps.-- Games such as Harvest Moon, Chrono Trigger, the first bit of Pokemon Games which I never played myself. Heck even Furcadia has more replay value than most this stuff made today just because of the many different things you can do user-content wise. Just food for thought.

It really depends on the game for me. Whichever one I find more enjoyable is the one I would play. It would also depend if the game is multiplayer or singleplayer. I tend to find 2D singleplayer games rather boring if they are something like say.. Warriors:Untold Tales. But if the game is 3D singleplayer, I'd be happy enough playing it for hours, as long as the graphics are half-decent. For multiplayer, I tend to lean towards 2D games on this, Idk why though.

Depends on the type of game, the genre, the platform, the mood I'm in and countless other things.

I mean, it'd be strange if you played Pokemon on the DS and were in a 3D world.

Or if you played Halo on the Xbox in a 2D world.

It just doesn't work.

I enjoy all types of games. Especially if they are unique or have plot twists that make me think.
But you only have to read the game suggestions we keep getting on our server to realise that the average player has different views.

The most common requests are.....

1) I want to name my pet.
2) I want to give my pet gifts/items.
3) why can't my bird/dragon (whatever) interact with me more. ie land on my back, takeoff and independently go searching for prey. Take messages to my friends and deliver them when I am not online.
4) Why can't I edit my character to be any creature I can think of.
5) Make me more stuff.
Why have people lost their imagination?
2D or 3D to me it is not graphics or it's quality but the effort put into the game.
The most awesome graphics and interace do not help if the storyline and game is a piece of crap.

Just my opinion.

^----- XDDDDD LOL

I Admit you don't need HD graphics to have a good game, hell you don't need HD graphics to have good graohics(I think Spyro on the ps1 pretty much proves this. c: ).

But graphics that make your eyes bleed aren't going to do you any justice... especially if you already have a crap game.

Oh my god, so true. XD

There are times where people just need to start thinking outside the box for something original. Graphics really don't matter and don't affect the game at all, in my opinion. A good example of that would be ShadowKeep (An old Mac game), or Secondhand Lands. Razz
