PostSubject: Items shown different on heads   Wed Aug 02, 2017 4:36 pm

Now i have my heads all set to head2 armature and have only head2 in usage withh different earstyles.
However i have items, set to head2, that only show correct on one head?
But they are not different aside the ears? how can that be? Anyone else having that problem?
First i thought the heads are a bit off, but as i tested in blender the difference is tiny as can be and shouldnt affect an item to be shown THAT different.

Heres pictures:

The game is coded to recognize that some heads have a slightly different skeleton and compensates for them by having an alternate animation available in items that are rigged to the bone "Head2".

Code:
      //Alternate animation
      bool altAnim = false;
      if(mDef->getItemHasAltAnim(meshName))
      {
         if(mDef->getItemBone(meshName)=="Head2")
         {
            char tHeadID = unit->getHeadEnt()->getMesh()->getName().at(4);
            if(tHeadID!='1' && tHeadID!='5')altAnim = true;
         }
      }

This section is where it tells the game which heads it should use the alternate animation on. "tHeadID!" (heads that are not) '1' and '5' (so 2, 3, 4, and 6).

You can either mess with this code to have it do nothing or simply go to the items.cfg file and set the alternate animation bool to false.

Quote :
RedXmasHat;Red Xmas Hat;Head2;0;1
bool false on private item ; bool true for altAnim "Equip2"
Quote :
Horns;Horns;Head2;0
bool false for both
Quote :
GradsHelmet;Grad's Helmet;Head2;1;1
bool true for both

The private item bool must always be shown, for some reason, but the altAnim bool can be left blank for false.

Oh okay. i will look into that.
The thing is that all my heads are rigged to head2 armature, the items list says head2 also.
But maybe this can fix it o.o

Will first try with the head code, thx <3

Head2 armature is not the same thing as Head2 bone. Head2 bone exists in both Head1 armature and Head2 armature. Item list is just saying what bone in the armature that it is attaching the item to. Wink

Okay!
Fiddling with the code didnt work for me so i set the bool to false on the heads and positioned the item in blender a bit different, now works on all heads <3
Thank you so muuuuch!
