Any idea on how to import a .mesh file into blender? I'd assume there's some way to convert .mesh into a supported file form like .obj, or .fbx.

you can convert mesh into a .xml and open it in blender, and then you can convert your .xml to any format(like .obj or .fbx or any other format in blender).
you can use this converter to convert meshes into .xml or vice versa, .xml into mesh
just drag your file to OgreXMLConverter.exe (no matter if you want convert mesh into .xml or .xml into mesh)

Just a note, but for best results with an IT server it's best to use Blender version 2.49b to avoid mishaps with converting newer mesh types.
