So I go to edit the source code and I do some edits. I hit re-build all or build solution and I go in game. Nothing has changed. Am I doing something wrong?

Uh, depends on what you're editing.
We're gonna need a bit more than that.

Trying to change that "parsing scripts.." and the "Magix" bar at the top. I have looked at tutorials but for some reason they don't change in game. And also trying to change the chat box colors. Sorry, I should have put more XD

So you changed

MagixLoadingBar.cpp
Code:
void MagixLoadingBar::resourceGroupScriptingStarted(const String& groupName, size_t scriptCount)
{
   assert(mNumGroupsInit > 0 && "You stated you were not going to init "
      "any groups, but you did! Divide by zero would follow...");
   // Lets assume script loading is 70%
   mProgressBarInc = mProgressBarMaxSize * mInitProportion / (Real)scriptCount;
   mProgressBarInc /= mNumGroupsInit;
   mLoadingDescriptionElement->setCaption("Parsing scripts...");
   mWindow->update();
}

ogremagixApp.cpp
Code:
bool ogremagixApp::configure(void)
{
   // Show the configuration dialog and initialise the system
   // You can skip this and use root.restoreConfig() to load configuration
   // settings if you were sure there are valid ones saved in ogre.cfg
   if (mRoot->showConfigDialog())
   {
      // If returned true, user clicked OK so initialise
      // Here we choose to let the system create a default rendering window by passing 'true'
      mWindow = mRoot->initialise(true, "Magix");
      mWindow->setDeactivateOnFocusChange(false);
      // Let's add a nice window icon
#if OGRE_PLATFORM == OGRE_PLATFORM_WIN32
      HWND hwnd;
      mWindow->getCustomAttribute("WINDOW", (void*)&hwnd);
      LONG iconID = (LONG)LoadIcon(GetModuleHandle(0), MAKEINTRESOURCE(IDI_APPICON));
      SetClassLong(hwnd, GCL_HICON, iconID);
#endif
      return true;
   }
   else
   {
      return false;
   }
}

and GameConfig.h chat colours???

If so, did you click save all before you rebuilt?
