PostSubject: More problems   Mon Aug 24, 2015 4:03 pm

Sorry for posting two threads four hours apart, i am really this confused O.O

okay first, i have searched up this but, how do i convert the skeleton file to a .xml file so i can remove the blink animation? what program do i need? Smile

and lastly, the most confusing and strangest thing:

when i try to switch heads, it switches the mane instead, same thing goes for the other buttons. clicking the button causes the game to switch the option below the one you clicked

This game hates me:

Do do i fix this, exactly? o-o

again, sorry for posting two threads four hours apart, this is my first time using the body selector o.o

First one is OgreCommandLineTools. I think Hamilton posted the link in her blender tutorial.

The second one is because you're on the second page of the body selector. When you first make a character, body has its own page. When you go forward then back, head switches to body.

You drag the mesh into the converter, it's not openable.

When you save the xml, no, it doesn't update the skeleton. You need to convert it to skeleton and replace the old one for changes to take effect. As for deleting the animation, you can't just delete the header, you need to delete the header all the way down till the next animation. And for IT, if one body part has an animation the other body parts don't have, it'll crash. So make sure your bodies all have the same animations, etc.

Slycan's bodies have lots of unneeded animations in them. Remove all the extra ones

So the animations at the bottom of the long list of codes, correct? o-o

EDIT: wait, would copying the codes in the oIT body to the new bodies work at all?

I don't think so. Some bodies might have different animations that have the same names but are different, for example the sit pose could vary from body to body.

To delete animations, open up the skeleton's .xml file and then alt+3. You can't just delete the animation immediately after you open, that's the same as deleting the header. Then highlight all of the animation code you need, including the header. Once you reach the next animation, delete it. Then you can re convert.

Okay.

also, i tried experimenting with my character screen:

i am still unable to switch heads at all. clicking the correct buttons work when head is replaced with "body" and when i go to the next page, same old thing happens, switching the head switches the mane instead.

Also, alt+3 wont work for me, i have a windows8 Toshiba computer, maybe that's the problem or... idk o.o
