Hi! I've got two more questions and then I should be good for now.

1. How do you increase the speed of flying? It's unrealistic to have flying and running the same speed when flying is naturally faster.

2. How do roam areas work? I want to fix up my Savannah prey and roam areas are quite confusing for me.

Edit: I've also got an issue with the update to the Savannah map by Kanu that he posted. With the Savannah Portal Cave (and probably the others) whenever I try to enter it I get a crash saying it can't find the savannahportalcaveterrain.cfg file, when I look in there and I see one, as a cfg. I'm a bit confused as to why this is happening. I've tried renaming the file and also in the world file, and all of the new maps are in the Worlds txt. Thanks!

look in the .cfg file and see what it says. Sometimes they're corrupt and not done properly.

1. That should be in the compile somewhere - to fly the game turns off gravity. If you can find where then there should be a speed setting you can change. I don't know where though, sorry. ^^;

2. Righto, let me and try and explain roam areas for you. :3

Let's use the original Castle. In the cd2 file you have:

critterList=Dire Hawk0.04,true,0  <-- To make it a roam area you need 'true' then a number
critterList=Hawk,0.06,true,1  <-- You can have as many roam areas as you like if you number them right
critterList=Bat,0.03,true,1
critterList=Great Hawk,0.000006,true,1
critterList=Bat,0.04,true,2
critterList=Great Hawk,0.00003,true,2
critterList=Hawk,0.06,true,3
critterList=Dire Hawk,0.04,true,3
roamArea=5000,500,5000,0,804,0  <-- This is roam area 0. They aren't numbered so you have to count them yourself if you have more than one
roamArea=2500,500,2500,0,804,0  <-- roam area 1
roamArea=0,500,0,5000,804,5000  <-- roam area 2 etc.
roamArea=2500,500,2500,5000,804,5000 <-- the first 3 numbers are the xyz coordinates in the map you want the roam area to start at. The next 3 numbers are the xyz coordinates for the roam area itself - how wide, high and long you want it. You can ignore the middle number for this unless your critter flies.

Roam areas always start at a corner and spread out along the 3 axis from there so you may need to play around until you find the corner and which way they go from there to make sure you've got them where you want them.

I know Lazyzim spams the map with 50-100 of the critter he's trying to lock into an area so he can see the invisible boundaries they'll go to and he adjusts accordingly.

I can't help you with the .cfg problem though. However I hope I have demystified roam areas for you. :3

That makes much more sense, thank you Obey! There are so many numbers and it's confusing. But that cleared it up! That's also a useful method to use.

As for the flying - I'll try to find it, but I'm not one with code so I'm afraid I'll break something.

As for the cfg file - I think I'll compare it with a working one.

I've redownloaded it and replaced, no change, and I've also removed it from the folder and then placed the new download in there. What could be wrong with it? I've tested the other maps and only Portal Cave is misbehaving. This is what the cfg file looks like:

probably a dumb question but i always do this error
did you add the name of the portal cave into your world.txt?
